We have numerous ring devices that we haven’t had any issues with, but this one is a different story. Have had nothing but problems. It is on a charger, but the battery goes dead very frequently because it quits charging. The battery last a fraction of what my other cameras do. It loses connection frequently, even though there is ample WiFi available. And then there are the days the picture turns very strange colors. Had I bought this one first I would’ve never bought another, but all my other devices have worked flawlessly. That is the reason I gave it two stars rather than one.
